Miniature

Gianluca Santosuosso’s speculative HIVE project builds on the well-established principle that hexagonal honeycombs represent the most efficient way to divide space into equal parts with minimal structural support—an example of nature's anticipation of modern architecture’s pursuit of structural efficiency. Santosuosso proposes a direct translation of bee habitats to human living spaces, envisioning an entire neighborhood of residential structures based on hexagonal forms.
